At Schoolblazer we use trend predictions to pioneer developments and upgrades in uniform styles through our innovative ‘Uniform of the Future’ project. An exciting part of this development is a new product that has been released into our schools’ range, which is already proving to be very popular: The trench coat.

The trench coat is a classic and instantly recognisable design; a versatile core piece that can enhance any uniform range. The classic silhouette is smart, easy to wear and multi-seasonal. The coat is perfect for most weathers, made from our Stormtex fabric, using the latest technology Stormtex is durable, breathable, waterproof and windproof. The unique water and windproof outer layer prevents rain from soaking in, whilst allowing water vapour on the inside to pass straight through, ensuring the wearer stays dry and comfortable.

A characteristic feature of our trench coat is the double-breasted front which is acknowledged to be flattering to a wide range of body shapes. The belted styling enables the trench coat to be versatile and ergonomically friendly, allowing a wide range of movement for the wearer, ensuring its adaptability in a variety of environments. It is also light enough that is can be layered with your existing blazer or jacket if required.

Our first customer to go ‘live’ with this exciting new product will be the prestigious Norland College. Norland College wanted to revive and refresh their uniform, whilst maintaining their instantly recognisable, highly regarded look. What better way, than with the contemporary new trench coat to replace their previous tweed woollen coat.

We have worked closely with Norland College to ensure the trench coat is reflective of their heritage. A fundamental aspect of the Norland College trench coat, which we are proud to have incorporated into the design is a brown outer fabric with their classic bespoke lining: this compliments the rest of their uniform pallet with the same lining being used in their tweed jackets.

Using the bespoke lining and the Norland College colours, ensures the Norland uniform is bought up to date with the addition of the trench coat, whilst remaining classic, iconic and reflective of their unique history. In addition, the Norland College trench coat also features complimentary tortoise shell style trims to finish off the look. The high-quality tortoise shell style buttons and buckles enhance the coats smart appearance, adding to the flexibility of the trench coat design. Use of the tortoise shell trims on the trench coat also ensures Norland College continues to have a distinctive look.
