Schoolblazer were delighted to be the headline sponsors at the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association (ISBA) Conference, held at the Manchester Central Convention Centre in May 2025.

Co-founder Tim James was joined by Commercial Director Clare Burrows, Business Development Director Charlotte Fry, Account Manager Laura Sharrock-Long, and Marketing Manager Louise Allard. The event provided a valuable opportunity for our team to connect with both current and prospective schools.

This year for the first time, Schoolblazer had their first ever custom-built stand, created in partnership with Display Wizard. The stand not only elevated our presence at the event but also enhanced the visibility and credibility of the Schoolblazer brand, allowing us to show off our innovative garments, high-performance sportswear and easy-to-use website.

The opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with Bursars felt more important than ever this year. With rising costs and the introduction of VAT on school fees, schools are having to make increasingly careful decisions around budgeting and the impact on both parents and pupils.

As highlighted in our article in the ISBA Conference magazine, we understand that changing uniform supplier is a significant undertaking. However, with experience supporting over 200 schools through this transition, we’re well-equipped to make the process as smooth and seamless as possible. We work closely with each school to ensure the contract reflects their needs and that any deadlines align with their academic calendar. It’s important to us that we make the change of supplier as easy as possible for schools.

The Schoolblazer team had a great time at the ISBA conference; it’s an extremely organised and well-run event at a brilliant venue and we were happy to welcome many Bursars to our stand.
