Schoolblazer and Limitless are delighted to provide both uniform and sportswear to Kirkham Grammar School from September 2023.

In the summer of 2022, Kirkham Grammar School looked to close their school shop and move to an online provision. The school’s senior management team conducted market research into potential suppliers and one name stood out in all areas: Schoolblazer, particularly in regards to quality, ease, customer satisfaction and reliability.

Following a proposal from our Business Development Team, the team was convinced Schoolblazer and Limitless could provide everything the school required: high quality of service, ease of ordering online, and of course superior garment quality. Closing the on-site school shop would also free up capacity for their team and reduce costs for the school, as well as taking the challenges of day-to-day garment supply off their hands.

Following initial conversations with Schoolblazer, a list of our current partner schools was provided to Kirkham Grammar School as references. This allowed the school to source feedback directly from their peers and learn much more about the changeover process from unbiased sources. For example, initially the school wanted to retain samples to try on; staff at one of their peer schools encouraged them to go 100% online and trust Schoolblazer’s Intelligent Sizing system. This proved successful as parents quickly adapted to online-only provision.

Though the primary reason for moving was a shift to online, an upgrade in the quality of the uniform and sportswear presented an exciting opportunity. Even where items have remained the same in appearance, for example retaining the traditional navy blazer and crest, the quality has been improved, using British wool for the blazer. Blouses and shirts are made using Schoolblazer’s unique Performance Cotton, combining a comfortable cotton outer with a durable polyester inner. Sportswear has also been upgraded using Limitless’ high-performance materials. Of course, it’s also reassuring for both the school and their parents to know their garments are ethically and sustainably sourced.
