Limitless proudly launches partnership with NIXI Body

Limitless wants to inspire every young person to participate in sport and aims to remove the barriers that hold them back. In 2024 they have decided to partner with companies who offer products which look to address issues in sport that might prevent young people from participating. With periods being an acknowledged barrier to participating in sport for young women, Limitless has partnered with period pant provider NIXI Body, with stock now available in Limitless and Schoolblazer schools.

According to the Youth Sport Trust research sponsored by Limitless, 29% of girls cited ‘being on their period’ as a barrier to taking part in physical activity.  Limitless therefore set out to find a partner whose period pants specifically address the issues related to playing sports. Sweat and movement are both factors during this time that NIXI Body have looked at in developing their sports period pant options. They want everyone to be comfortable enough to choose to be active, and to lessen the worry of potentially leaking during exercise.

Period pants have changed the way women can approach their periods, and they are becoming a more popular option with girls starting their periods.  As a reusable item, they are also more environmentally-friendly than pads. Limitless is proud to offer an option for parents purchasing their child’s sportswear on Schoolblazer.com, so they can be included as a standard piece of kit for girls. With a choice of either the Sarah or Gracie knickers, style and comfort can also be taken into account.

Louise Allard of Limitless says, “Period pants address many of the concerns that girls have about not wanting to stand out in the changing room, and wanting to ensure they don’t leak whilst playing sport. We’re very happy to be able to offer NIXI Body knickers to girls at our schools and hope they encourage lots more girls to choose to be active.”

"46% of girls said they skipped their PE lessons because they were worried about leaking or visible period pads," explains NIXI Body Founder and CEO, Kelly Newton. "This statistic is concerning not only for the health and confidence of young girls, but for the future of women's sports! We're so excited to be partnering with Limitless and Schoolblazer, to ensure NIXI Body knickers can now be found in the sports kits of girls all over the country - giving them leak-free confidence to focus on their game - and their education."
